Advising and representing people accused of crime is my bread and butter. I represent people accused of crime at all level of courts, from the Magistrates' Court to the Court of Appeal. I have done jury trials, trials in front of magistrates and trials in front of judges. I am experienced in the entire criminal process from arrest to conviction, sentence and appeal. I have represented people accused of all sorts of crimes including assaults (from the most minor to life-threatening injuries), thefts, public order offences, drug possession and drug dealing, malicious communications, harassment and road traffic offences (such as drink or drug driving).
I can advise you on any or all parts of the processes. Often cases can be stopped before they even get to court and I have significant experience in advising on the pre-trial process.
Some of my successes include:
- Acquittal of a man carrying 1kg of cannabis in his trunk. He was accused of dealing drugs;
- Acquittal of a man accused of harassing his girlfriend;
- Acquittal following a two-day trial of a man accused of pushing his former brother-in-law;
- Acquittal of a man accused of robbing another;
- Successful appeal against sentence at the Court of Appeal for a man who pleaded guilty to beating an 80-year-old man.
The criminal process is stressful and can lead to life-long consequences. Not only can you be punished if you are found guilty, but you may lose your job or your home. I fully understand the difficult position people are put in when accused of crimes and I provide complete advice on the criminal process, including how to get cautions and convictions deleted from the police database, whether to appeal convictions or sentences, resisting applications to extend orders such as restraining orders and whether you must tell employers about a conviction.
If you are a victim of a crime, I can also help. I have significant experience in helping victims of crime secure appropriate levels of compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
I will provide you with comprehensive, cost-effective service. I will provide you with clear and frank advice without any regard to my own interests or the interests of others. Once you hire me as your barrister, I am there to advise and represent you and only you.
I am always contactable within working hours, whether by email, text message or phone call. I am here to make the process easier for you and answer any and all questions you may have.
My pricing is fair. I charge according to the amount of work involved in your case and the complexity involved.
