I have dealt with many clients in my years of practise, ranging from Heads of State (overseas), public and local authorities, companies and individuals. All have required preparation of cases to a high standard.
(i) Commercial – I am involved in the current VW Emissions Group Litigation;
(ii) Construction – I have been involved in many construction cases over my years
(iii) Judicial Review – I recently acted for Ian Brady in his last Judicial Review
(iv) Disciplinary – I am currently acting for two firms of Solicitors that are being
disciplined by the Solicitors Regulation Authority;
(v) Regulatory – for many years, I have acted on behalf of care homes facing
closure by their regulator, the Care Quality Commission;
(vi) Employment - I have acted in many leading employment cases, particularly in
the area of Equal Pay;
(vii) Education – over the years, I have acted in many education cases dealing with school admissions and exclusions and universities. I am also the author of the chapter on Education in Bullen & Leake & Jacob's Precedents of Pleadings;
(viii) Human Rights – I currently act on behalf of a Solicitor who challenges Article 6. I am also a joint author of the chapter on Human Rights in Supperstone, Goudie and Walker on Judicial Review.
I have been a barrister since 1979. I am the author of Ch.39 on Education in Bullen & Leake & Jacob's Precedents of Pleadings.
