Maurice Rifat

I will fight your case as hard and as aggressively as you need me to. I deal with all types of cases in relation to Probate disputes mostly involving competing or disputed Wills; disputes arising from the administration of estates; and removal of executors.

My approach

From me you can expect a high calibre service with the priority being to obtiain your desired result.  I am approachable and practical and I am extremely efficient in preparing the necessary paperwork within any specified timeframe, a fundamental necessity in civil litigation. I will advise you of every step you need to take to obtain your goal.  I am known for my direct and aggressive approach in court and my aim is to pull no punches and put your case as strongly and effectively as I can.  The bottom line is that I aim to win.

My work

I am a specialist in civil litigation and regularly appear in the High Court and in the Central London County Court, although I am frequently instructed to appear in courts in Essex and Kent.  Being a Direct Access qualified barrister means not only can you instruct me directly to appear in court for you, but you can also instruct me on other parts of the case inlcuding providing a written advice or legal opinion, drafting court documents including claims, defences, application notices.  You can also instruct me to draft letters for you and even attend 'round-table' negotiations or mediations on your behalf.

About me

I have an established reputation as a successful and sought after lawyer in the field of probate and  I frequently appear in the Chancery Division of the High Court.
