Gary Pons

I have over 20 years of experience in defending people charged with road traffic offences. I understand the devastating effect the loss of licence can have on a person.

I will work with you to identify any defences you may have to the charges you face. In the event that there are no defences available to you I will understand your personal circumstances, and present the best mitigation in an effort to keep any sentence to a minimum.

My approach

I have considerable practical experience in all areas of motoring law. In my career I have both prosecuted and defended in motoring cases which means I can easily identify all the pitfalls in a case.

I will speak to you over the telephone without charge to understand the nature of your case and how I might be able to assist. I will provide you with clear and understandable advice.

I will offer a reasonble fixed fee for you case which will be based on the amount of work that your case requires.

My work

Regina v P (Ipswich Crown Court)

Represented a defendant charged with "road rage" dangerous driving. Defendant was sentenced to a fine.

R v P (Guildford MC)

Represented a defendant charged with speeding (100 mph). Mitigation placed before the Court which ensured the client kept his licence.

R v S (Uxbridge MC)

Represented a defendant whose guilty plea to an offence of speeding meant he had 12 points on his licence. I succsesfully argued that exceptional hardship applied in his case.
