Irene Sriharan

Irene has a mature mixed practice and works across the fields of Asylum, Immigration, Human Rights and Family law with a specialism in refugee and asylum claims. Irene has gained a reputation for being a fearless and formidable advocate whose impressive people and legal skills aid her in being able to handle the most complex of cases, witnesses and Judges.

Before joining the Bar, Irene worked for a Solicitor’s firm and handled a vast caseload in both Family and Immigration matters. This cultivated her natural instinct as an advocate but also exceptional client care skills, in particular sensitivity with vulnerable clients.

About me

During her degree, Irene took part in an exchange programme with Harvard Divinity School where her focus was in Philosophical Theology and the role of Religion in Politics.

After reading Theology at Kings, Irene followed her interest in socio-political issues to the TransAfrica Forum; a research, education and advocacy centre in Washington, D.C. for activism focusing on social economic and political conditions in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America and other parts of the African Diaspora. Irene therefore has accumulated 10 years of experience advocating on a broad spectrum of social justice issues.
