About Aris
Aris was called to the Bar in the 1980s. He spent his first 15 years in a mixed common-law and crime practice at the criminal and family Bar, covering licensing, contract disputes, shareholder disputes and tort. He then moved into private practice, managing two family offices from London and Abu Dhabi.
In 2012 he founded a solicitors' firm, the first tax-oriented Alternative Business Structure (ABS) in the country, regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. As managing partner he practised as both solicitor and barrister, and at its height the firm employed four solicitors and consultants, specialising in tax, VAT, litigation, company and shareholder disputes, and business law. The firm went into liquidation in 2022 in the aftermath of the pandemic.
Aris now practises in tax, asset-protection trusts, company law, Children Act matters, road traffic offences and serious crime. He is based in London and the South-East and travels nationwide.
