Family law covers the legal side of relationships and family life: separation and divorce, arrangements for children, financial settlements, and protection from harm. A barrister can advise you on where you stand, help you reach agreement, and represent you in the family court.
This is a broad area, and many matters fall under a more specific heading such as arrangements for children, family finances, wills and trusts, or probate.
