Discrimination in employment and in services.

Both sides

Acting for claimants and for respondents.

Discrimination law under the Equality Act protects people from unfair treatment because of protected characteristics such as sex, race, disability, age, religion and sexual orientation. A barrister can advise on direct and indirect discrimination, harassment and victimisation, at work and in services, and on defending such claims.

A barrister will assess whether the treatment is unlawful, the evidence and the value, and represent you at the Employment Tribunal or in the civil courts. Through Direct Access you can instruct a barrister directly, without going through a solicitor first.
