Rod’s practice mainly involves the Western Circuit, London and the Home Counties but is always willing to travel further afield. Rod is approved by Law Society to provide courses for solicitors requiring CPD points, Previously a Law Lecturer providing Professional and A Level Courses.
Rod has extensive Crown Court and Court of Appeal experience. Recent Trials include: Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Fraud, Rape and Conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Online Safety Act 2023, Defamation and Online Harm
Mr Hine accepts instructions under the Online Safety Act 2023 (OSA) and linked legislation including the Defamation Act 2013, the Malicious Communications Act 1988 and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. Since the OSA came into force he has sought to establish himself as a leading barrister in this niche area, covering online harm, bullying, harassment, harm prevention, defamation, malicious communications and review removal.
He advises clients facing online harm, whether personal or to their companies, on private prosecutions, civil claims, harm prevention and injunctions for the removal of reviews and other content subject to the OSA 2023.
