About James

All my work is done in the context of conflicts within families and relationships. This includes disputes over where the children live after separation, how they are provided for and how much time they spend with the other parent or relative. It also involves property and financial dispute between families and former partners, both with regards ownership and occupation of a property.

My approach

My aim is to ensure the client understands what is happening and feels part of the process. Divorce and Court proceedings can be bewildering. I aim to make things as simple as possible and give clear advice so the client is able to make informed decisions about their case. Once those decisions are taken and the objectives clear, I do my best to achieve them in Court.

What clients say

Client in a child contact case, Nottingham: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for yesterday. I was impressed by your skill and ability to articulate the essence of the issues and draw out the relevant facts very effectively. I appreciate that this is your job but your ability to balance this whilst maintaining a very approachable and 'down to earth' manner that helped to put me at ease, on what was an emotionally stressful day is not something that I think many people could achieve.
