About Geoffrey
Geoffrey Williams KC has a long-established practice in professional disciplinary and regulatory work. He regularly appears in the High Court on disciplinary appeals and both prosecutes and defends before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. He represents the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and other regulators, and advises regulated professionals, particularly accountants and chartered surveyors, on conduct issues.
He practised as a solicitor for over 30 years, taking Silk in 2003, before transferring to the Bar in 2013 and joining Farrar's Building, with which he had long been connected. He specialises entirely in disciplinary and regulatory fields, with an equal balance of prosecuting and defending at first instance and on appeal.
My approach
Geoffrey adopts a thorough and careful approach, giving practical advice in straightforward terms with a view to resolving matters speedily and constructively, and engaging positively with opponents. He supports clients through a most difficult time in their professional lives, and his long prior practice as a solicitor brings particular benefits when acting in that jurisdiction.
