My approach
What I can do for you in Mediation:
- I can either represent you in a mediation or be the Mediator: that is, try to bring you and the other party together so as to reach a final agreement of your dispute.
What I can do for you in Arbitration:
- I can either represent you as Leading Counsel in an arbitration, or be the Arbitrator (or one of the panel of Arbitrators if there is more than one Arbitrator).
- If I am an Arbitrator in your case, you can rest assured:
- That I shall be scrupulously impartial.
- That I shall give you a fair hearing.
- That I shall write the award (ie make the decision) within a reasonable period of the conclusion of the arbitration. There would be no question of your having to wait 6 or 12 months for the award.
