I have extensive experience in the following: unfair dismissal, redundancy, contracts of employment, pregnancy related dismissal, constructive dismissal, minimum wage claims, settlement agreements, post termination covenants, holiday pay disputes, parental leave, deductions from wages, variation of contractual terms, whistleblowing, business transfer, harassment and breach of contract claims.
As well as advocacy work, I have considerable experience of advisory and drafting work, preparing pleadings for, Employment Tribunals and The Employment Appeals Tribunal. I have acted as a disciplinary officer in various tribunals including the Employment Appeals Tribunal. In addition, I have represented members of the medical profession and others, who need representation in disciplinary proceedings and tribunals.
I have enjoyed representing clients in The Royal Courts of Justice and several types of tribunal including Immigration and Sports Resolution.
I am not only a qualified Direct Access employment barrister, which means that I can be instructed directly without having to involve a Solicitor but have also taken the Litigation Exam, which permits me to draft pleadings and write letters to the tribunal and opposition.
