Gary Pons

I am an experienced licensing lawyer with a good grasp of the practical problems regularly encountered in this area of law. I have appeared for both licensees and the licensing authorities in magistrates court appeals. I sit as an advisor to Licensing Sub Committees. I will work with you to present your case in its best possible light.

I am regularly instructed to draft the written representations in relation to licensing sub committee hearings.

Representing the Local Authority who were responding to an appeal against the issuing of a counter notice to a TEN.

LB Lambeth and NHB

Successfully agreed conditions with licensing authority in relation to a premises review arising out of the sale of illegal cigarettes which allowed the licensee to keep his licence.

 

 

About me

I initiallly practised almost exclusively in criminal law.

I worked as an employed barrister in a busy firm of solicitors which provided me with an understanding of how important it is that I fully understand my client's personal circumstances and needs.

My practise has developed over the years to include areas such as licensing and similar regulatory areas.
