Top Gear producer launches legal action against Jeremy Clarkson and BBC

Oisin Tymon, a producer on Top Gear who was punched by the show’s presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, earlier this year has launched a personal injury and employment claim for more than £100,000, according to The Telegraph.

Mr Tymon, who has instructed the solicitors Slater and Gordon, is believed to be suing Mr Clarkson for the injuries sustained during the attack, and the BBC for failing to protect him as an employee.

Mr Tymon's solicitors have brought proceedings at the Central London Employment Tribunal.

A BBC spokesman said: “We will be responding to this claim but will not be commenting further at this time.” Representatives for Mr Tymon and Mr Clarkson refused to comment.
